One of their latest achievements is a custom home, the Miscela, which boasts vast entertaining spaces. Their inspiration for this five-bedroom, 6.5 bathroom, 7,800 square foot beauty was to create a versatile space for larger families and for entertaining friends and loved ones. The bold and modern design serves as a perfect setting for both cozy, intimate gatherings, and larger parties.
Some of the most stunning of this home's exceptional features include a marble, T-shaped kitchen island with marble “waterfall” edging, as well as a floating metal staircase, a large movie theater, and a game room. There's also a built-in fish tank, an in-ground pool and spa, a screened porch with fireplace and heated floors, and an “Owner's Retreat” featuring two closets and a luxurious bathroom.
Open plan living has become the standard in contemporary home design—and for a good reason. Open plan design provides a generous space that allows all your guests to relax in a single home area without feeling crowded. Aside from adding to the spacious feeling of the home, it also means no one needs to miss out on the action.
While magic is happening in the kitchen, the cooks can continue to mingle with their guests without ever losing the beat of the conversation. The open floor plan of the Miscela was uniquely designed with well placed walls that serve as room dividers, implying separation of distinctive spaces (like the Dining Room), without obstructing the breezy passthroughs, and light and airy feel of a traditional open floor plan.
The windows and doors are oversized to capture the natural light, and allow you to take in the views of the outdoor living space and the yard. It's the perfect layout for entertaining guests indoors and outdoors, and the pool is the crowning art piece. The in-ground spa spills over into the pool, warming the temperature and making it perfect for pool parties. The fully equipped outdoor kitchen allows the homeowner to host outdoor gatherings with ease, while the nearby gas firepit provides a warm and cozy space to gather on cool evenings.
Another incredible feature of this home is the Owners Retreat, a wing of the home dedicated to solace and relaxation. The Owner’s bedroom is one of spacious proportions, with ample oversized windows and a vaulted, beamed ceiling complete with a gorgeous chandelier.
Just down the hall, two roomy closets were designed with islands for additional storage and plentiful space for dressing. The Owner’s Spa was intricately designed with a spacious shower, free standing tub, stunning sink vignettes, and two water closets.
Just off the kitchen are 16-foot glass doors leading to a spacious screened porch with skylights, a wood-burning fireplace, and heated tile flooring. This screened area was positioned with care at the center of the main-level living space, providing central access to an indoor/outdoor living space where the family can gather, or groups can escape the larger gathering at parties for quiet conversations.
The Miscela is a homeowners dream, offering a beautiful bar, a game room with a pool table, and a pinball machine, among other classic games for guests and family. There is also an open movie theatre with a popcorn machine, surround sound, and reclining seats!
